After a long time of rumours over whether it would be impossible to record any PS4 footage with an external recording device, it was confirmed today by Brad Douglas, head of Third Party Relations, that the PS4 will support video capture via HDMI. This is fantastic news for the many gamers who like to record and edit their footage without having to deal with the in built recorder which doesn’t record bulk sessions. The news comes as a nice surprise, as the PS3′s HDMI was unable to be recorded due to HDCP, but it seems Sony have found a way to discount the gameplay footage from the equation.
What do you guys have to say on the matter? Will it affect you in any way? It sure is a relief for me!
